We are moving to Maryland and will be spending the first 7 weeks in our 25 foot camper, while we wait for our new home to be finished. My husband, 2 year old and I love tent camping, but thought living in a tent for 7 weeks would be a bit extreme (even for us) so we purchased a camper and are in the process of pulling it from Florida to Maryland.
Earlier this week all our household goods were packed up and loaded onto the moving truck. We hitched the camper to the back of our "Surf Wagon" (full size van stripped down to 3 seats and filled with everything needed to have fun in the outdoors) and pulled out of Pensacola. I tried not to look back as we crossed over the 3 mile bridge for the last time. We loved living in Pensacola and hope one day we will have an opportunity to return. Tuesday night we drove from Pensacola, FL to Tupelo, MS to visit our family. When we stopped for dinner Selah got out of the van and said "The camper followed us!". So far it has been slow but smooth travels. We haven't spent the night in the camper yet, but that day is quickly approaching.
Keep posted for updates on our adventure! Any bets on how many days it will take for us to go crazy?
